Our Creative Music Making programming is relevant to all K-12 music educators and we provide support to general music, jazz band, orchestra, modern band, marching band, mariachi, and popular music educators alike. We offer educators the support they need to expand and innovate within their existing music classes.
Our Music Program Currently Serves
The Allee Willis Creativity Commons & Archive
Announced in partnership with the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Allee’s alma mater, the Allee Willis Creativity Commons is a 3,245-square-foot makerspace built to be as fearless as Allee was, opening its doors in 2028.
Right next door, the Allee Willis Archive at Mills Music Library will hold the full, sprawling scope of what she made: songs, sketches, ephemera, and and a lifetime of creative output.
The Commons will reflect Allee’s world: candy-colored, maximalist, and unapologetically atomic kitsch. It will feature a flexible creativity zone for programming and events, a dedicated makerspace for physical art and media, and The Studio, a professional-grade audio and visual production space for anyone with a song, a film, or a story to tell.
Together, the Commons and the Archive will carry Allee’s creative spirit forward, giving the next generation of artists, songwriters, and storytellers a place to create, push boundaries, and discover what’s possible.
